SUNDAY ROAST

Old Nelson Brewers Fayre pub restaurant in Gloucestershire

Our team

Whatever the occasion, come and join us at the Old Nelson! Our loyal, friendly team go above and beyond to ensure you always have an amazing time dining out in Gloucestershire with us. We’re passionate about supporting our community too, which is why we love fundraising for local charities. Set in a beautiful Grade II listed building, our Stroud restaurant is steeped in history. Before becoming the Brewers Fayre you know and love today, it was originally owned by a Spanish lord, and bricks were brought over from Spain especially to construct the building. Years later, it became a monastery before it was turned into a boys’ school with a headmaster named Mr Nelson – hence our name!

Our location

Located right next to popular Stratford Park, we’re in an ideal spot when you’re looking for family friendly restaurants in Gloucestershire. The town centre and famous Stroud Farmers Market are both right on our doorstep, while top Gloucestershire attractions like the Cotswolds are just a 40-minute drive away.
