Southend-on-Sea Brewers Fayre
You couldn’t pick a better spot for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner than our Southend-on-Sea Brewers Fayre restaurant. We’ve got it all: beautiful seaside views, great value prices and we’re close to some of the best things to see in Southend. Whether you’re here to see Southend Pier or you’re here for the beaches, we’re the place to be for a relaxed meal you can enjoy in style.
Our hardworking and dedicated team are mostly from the local community, we’re full of great ideas on what to do and see in Southend-on-Sea! We’re very fortunate that a lot of our team have been with us since we opened in 2015 and we’ve kept a diverse, enthusiastic and experienced team of superstars since then.
We love the Southend-on-Sea community and we work closely with other local businesses to support independent charities in the area. We try and raise as much as possible for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, too.
Although we’re a relatively new arrival to Southend’s seafront, our restaurant is actually built on an iconic old gas works factory that was renovated as part of a rejuvenation project. We’re right on the seafront, close to Southend-on-Sea beach and Southend Pier, the longest pleasure pier in the world at over 1.33 miles long. Southend Pier was also the site of England’s first ever pier railway – it opened in the early 1890s.
Why we love Southend-on-Sea
Southend has come a long way since its humble beginnings as the ‘south end’ of a village called Prittlewell. From the 1790s onwards Southend has been one of the top holiday spots in Essex and beyond, a favourite for Londoners as one of the capital’s nearest seaside retreats.
But there’s a lot more to Southend-on-Sea than just its beautiful sandy beaches. In fact, after you’re done with a delicious meal at our restaurant, why not take a short walk to Southend Sealife Adventure? It’s perfect for a day out for the whole family with interactive experiences, wildlife talks and demonstrations about exploring the ocean. Adventure Island is another top place to visit, it’s a theme park with great indoor and outdoor rides, plus extra fun themed days. And of course, don’t forget crazy golf, with plenty of courses to choose from just a few minutes’ walk from our restaurant.
Our kitchen manager, Jack Day, recommends our succulent Smothered Chicken, a true Brewers Fayre classic made with tender chicken breast, topped with smoky BBQ sauce, melted cheese and streaky bacon, served with salad, coleslaw, chips and garlic bread. Plus if you’re feeling extra hungry you can always double up and go large.
You can’t beat a delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings and seafront views with us.
It’s got to be the Premier Inn Breakfast, which we serve at Southend-on-Sea Brewers Fayre. An unlimited selection of the best of an English breakfast. That’s bacon, eggs cooked just how you like them, hash browns, black pudding, toast and plenty more with free tea and coffee.
A Premier Inn Breakfast is just £9.50 per adult, and if an adult orders up to two kids eat for free. The lighter alternative, the continental breakfast is £7.50 per adult.
If you order a Premier Inn Breakfast or a continental breakfast you can enjoy unlimited coffee, tea and juice. A free drink is included as part of our Meal Deal, too. We offer free refills on soft drinks.
As part of our Generous serving of safety measures we’ve introduced a one-way system in our restaurant, added Perspex screens to help guests socially distance and we require masks to be worn at all times when away from the table. This is on top of regular thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all regularly used surfaces. We’ve also added as much ventilation as possible.
Not yet. We’re just moments from the beach and other great places to take kids though.
We are! We have a great selection of kids meals, our team are all great with children and because we’re so close to the beach, we’re perfect for showing kids the seaside.
Book online for groups of 6 or less. For groups over 6 our restaurant is in line with all current restrictions. For specific numbers, please get in touch with us via email or over the phone.
