Mother’s Day at Brewers Fayre

Mother’s Day is going to look a little different this year, but Mum still deserves to be showered in love and treated like a queen! This is the perfect occasion to show Mum just how much you appreciate what she does for you.

So whether she’s a breakfast-in-bed fan, a lover of a family lunch or has a sweet tooth, we’ve got the perfect ideas to help you make Mother’s Day special in lockdown, even though we can’t do the cooking for you!

Create a cut out in your bread and drop in an egg whilst you’re frying to make this love heart egg toast - perfect for Mother’s Day breakfast in bed. And easy enough that little people can help out!

We wish that we could treat Mum to a Sunday Roast this Mothering Sunday but if you’re at home, why not recreate the experience together? There’s a job for everyone in the family - from peeling potatoes, chopping carrots and even doing the washing up.

Sweet Treat

Make your own chocolate truffles for Mum by pouring 150ml warm double cream over 200g finely chopped dark chocolate. Wait for a few minutes and then stir together once melted. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours and then roll into balls and add her favourite toppings - try cocoa powder, crushed nuts or sprinkles.

Make a Mother’s Day Card

Homemade cards are not only fun to create but they are also super unique. Take a moment out of your day to create a colourful and personalised card for mum or grandma with our step-by-step guide.

All you'll need is a pen, a glue stick, and some coloured paper.

  1. Cut out 1 big red heart, 1 slightly smaller white heart, green leaves and stems and 6 tulip outlines

  2. Glue hearts together and fold

  3. Add green leaves and stem to white heart

  4.  Fold the tulip cut outs and glue together in fan arrangement
