If you’re looking for delicious pub food and a base for visiting the best spots in Doncaster, the Cheswold Lodge Brewers Fayre is the restaurant for you. We have lots of outdoor dining space, indoor soft play areas for kids and a menu full of tasty pub classics.
We’re lucky to have such a friendly team with a passion for making people feel welcome. Nothing’s too much trouble for us, and we love making birthdays, parties or any events extra special. Our kitchen team are top notch and make sure every meal tastes great.
We care about doing our bit for the community – we support Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital as part of our national campaign, and a cancer charity called Firefly locally.
Cheswold Brewers Fayre was built on the former RAF Doncaster site in the 1990s. This site has always been popular because it’s so close to Doncaster Racecourse. We’re also in a great spot next to scenic Lakeside Lake and walking trails nearby. After you’ve enjoyed a delicious meal with us, there’s so many things to see nearby.
Our restaurant has a large indoor play area suitable for children of any age, although height restrictions are in place at 140cm. We also have a soft play area for toddlers and younger kids too.
We split our restaurant into different zones to make sure everyone feels comfortable. We have a large family dining area close to the play area, perfect for hassle-free family dinners. Our adult-only dining section is a quieter part of the restaurant, ideal for romantic meals out or just relaxing alone. And finally, there’s our bar area, for pints on the go, bar snacks or just recharging your phone. We also have BT Sports in our bar, so you’ll always be able to keep up with the big game!
Make sure to take a look at our offers page for all our latest deals and promotions.
Why we love Doncaster
Doncaster is probably most famous for its racecourse, which we’re only a 20-minute walk or a 4-minute drive away from. There are brilliant races throughout the year, including the famous St Leger Festival and much more – if you’re in town it’s definitely worth a visit. Wherever you’re heading in town, the Cheswold Lodge is a great base for a delicious meal before exploring the rest of Doncaster.
The Cheswold Lodge is in the Herten Triangle Retail Park, we’ve got a cinema and the bowling alley right next door if you’re looking for fun things to do after dinner. We’re only half a mile away from the Doncaster Dome, which has an ice-skating rink, a swimming pool, gyms and even hosts gigs.
There’s plenty of other things to see nearby. We’re only about three miles away from Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Conisbrough Castle, Sandall Park and Cusworth Hall Museum & Park are just a short drive away too. No matter what kind of trip you’re after, the Cheswold Lodge is close to all the best things to do in Doncaster.
Our menu has something for everyone, but if we have to pick the most popular let’s break it down by course. Our most popular starter is our delicious buttermilk chicken goujons, for sure. After a tasty treat, a lot of guests love our golden, lightly battered large haddock served with skin-on-chips and garden peas for their main. Then to close it all off, you can’t go wrong with our luxurious triple chocolate brownie served with ice cream.
The Cheswold Lodge serves one of the best Sunday roasts in Doncaster! Choose from hand-carved roast beef, succulent turkey, hand-carved gammon or our special fake & ale pie. You also get unlimited roast potatoes and other extras. We also have a Sunday carvery where you can enjoy a slice of everything that takes your fancy.
It’s got to be the Premier Inn Breakfast, which we serve at the Cheswold Lodge. An unlimited selection of the best of an English breakfast. That’s bacon, eggs cooked just how you like them, hash browns, black pudding, bagels, muffins, toast and plenty more with free tea and coffee.
A Premier Inn Breakfast is just £9.50 per adult, and if an adult orders up to two kids eat for free. The lighter alternative, the continental breakfast is £7.50 per adult.
If you order a Premier Inn Breakfast or a continental breakfast you can enjoy unlimited coffee, tea and juice. A free drink is included as part of our Meal Deal, too. We offer free refills on soft drinks.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests and teams is always our number one priority, which is why we introduced the Generous Serving of Safety promise across our restaurants to make sure you can sit back, relax and enjoy dining out in Doncaster.
